In December 2022, I started my exciting adventure in Brazil, which lasted until January 2023. My first destination was Fortaleza, specifically Jericoacoara, where my friend Lisa from Innsbruck was waiting for me. Lisa loves sports, especially kite surfing, and it was her passion that inspired me to visit Brazil.
The weather in northern Brazil was warm and friendly. I enjoyed the sunshine and even tried surfing, riding small waves on a longboard. We celebrated New Year’s Eve and Lisa’s birthday together before I went to Fortaleza for a few days.
From Fortaleza to São Paulo. Finally, I met up with my longtime friend Bernardo in São Paulo. Felipe, Bernardo’s friend, picked me up from the airport, and we went straight to the Mobai Bike Land Bike Park. The locals welcomed us warmly, and the bike park was amazing.
Together with Felipe, Bernardo, and his parents, we went to Ubatuba, where Bernardo has a vacation home. It was a beautiful and relaxing time there. Then we went to Paraty, which is part of Rio de Janeiro. Felipe has a holiday home there, where you can book all-inclusive stays. We enjoyed water sports like surfing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, and exploring islands and coves. It was a real break, especially the day when we had no electricity and took a break from our usual routine.
Just before I left, I went back to Mobai Bike Land to help with a mountain bike camp for children. It was a thrilling experience and taught me a lot.
