Celine Blochberger

I am currently studying sports science at the Leopold Franz University in Innsbruck. Besides my studies, I am self-employed as a guide for MTB, downhill, Enduro, and e-bike. Additionally, I have a passion for being a sports model. I gained my greatest experience in being a sharper and MTB downhill guide when I was part of the bike park Serfaus Fiss Ladis. There I was active from 2016 to 2018. In 2017, we established the Bike-school in SFL. I worked there till autumn 2018 in a manager position. Besides biking in summer, I am active as a ski and snowboard instructor in winter. I am part of the ski and snowboard school in Zürs am Arlberg. In addition to university and work, I am a deputy chairman of the MTB & Downhill Verein Tirol,  where I have been in charge of the race team since 2019.  Form my bike and technical equipment, I am supported by Radsport Krug in Mieming, Ergo bike, and Poc.

How I started with MTB Downhill…

In summer 2014, I was on a journey through Canada, British Columbia. My Traveling destination was Tofino in Vancouver Island. I was really excited about the landscape and surfing the waves there. I traveled with my Van and had no idea about Downhill at this time. The waves at the beach in Cox Bay were absolutely crazy. The people, the beaches, the weather, and the landscape were incredible. I met many wonderful people who told me about a Park called Whistler, known globally for its many trails. After two weeks of surfing and Van life, I decided to visit this famous Whistler park. First, I traveled back to Vancouver, where I picked up my friend from Tirol at the airport. The next day, we drove directly to Whistler. Arriving in the afternoon, we directly booked a bike course with a guide. It was a group course only for girls. The first ride with the bike was super cool. I remember exactly the feeling of respect and fun. It was riding a roller coaster by yourself. From the first kick on, I knew that I have found my new passion.
